With a Stratasys Mojo in the 3DRV, we sometimes have the chance to print fun stuff from our experiments with 3D models. A few weeks ago, while in Orlando, my son and I played around with the web-based Modio app

With Modio anybody can create fun models and creations and easily 3D print them using a desktop 3D printer. The site allows you to change the built-in parts with different textures, colors, and shapes to make a creation that is all your own. The app is currently available for iPhone and iPad on the iOS app store. At press time, it is all free, but I’ve heard that they will be going to a fee-based model in the near future.

Here are a few photos of our efforts. We had a few parts that we had to re-print, but overall it is an easy to use web program. You don’t have to print, either – you can just have fun creating 3D models and saving them digitally. The Mojo is a great desktop printer and one we'll be sad to return next week to the team in Rancho Cucamonga.
